Description
Overview
This is a refresher course for this will provide appropriate knowledge and understanding to identify working at heights hazards and where a fall hazard exists be able to plan and perform safe work at heights.
Who Should Attend
This is a refresher course for those that have completed the working at heights unit standards (see below). Personnel required to work at heights including construction workers, scaffolders, EWP operators, confined space workers and Issuers of height permit or work authorities.
Course Objectives
- Demonstrate knowledge of the hazards associated with working at height.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety harnesses and associated systems and equipment.
- Plan and complete practical height related tasks.
- Prepare and use height related rescue plans.
Pre-Requisites
Completion of unit standards 17600, 23229, 25045. Trainees must hold the unit standards that they are seeking refresher training on. Evidence will be required.

Please note that credits are not assessed against or awarded for refresher training – no credit costs are applicable. You must hold these unit standards to complete the refresher training.
