P Endorsement – Passenger Service – this is a theory assessment only.
People who hold a passenger (P) endorsement usually drive buses, shuttles or taxis, but some other drivers need a P endorsement too.
You need a P endorsement if you drive a small or large passenger service vehicle where passengers are carried for hire or reward.

The two units standards are delivered on a day each, these dates may not be consecutive days. Often they will run on separate days. Contact us if you would like to review your date options.
Must hold a minimum of a full Class 1 New Zealand Licence for at least 2 years.
Requirements for a P Endorsement
There are a number of specific activities you must complete in order to complete you Passenger Licence through NZTA.
- Medical certificate
- NZTA DL20 form
- Fit and Proper Person Check

Course costs include all learning materials and completion certificate. Costs also include registration of unit standard credits with NZQA.
