Overview
This training programme will give people the knowledge and skills to work safely to erect non-notifiable and prefabricated frame scaffolding up to five metres in height. Ideal for residential construction scaffold training.
Please note, this is only for scaffolding up to five (5) metres in height, which does not require a Certificate of Competence or notification to WorkSafe NZ.

Who should attend
Those completing this programme are likely to be those involved in construction and related industries who erect non-notifiable scaffolding for their own immediate use and the use of those working with them. This will include painters, builders, plasterers, gutter spouters, brickies, cladding specialists and residential roofers. This programme is not intended for those wanting to become professional scaffolders.

Course Outcomes
At the end of this scaffolding training course you will be able to:
- Demonstrate the knowledge of non-notifiable prefabricated scaffolding
- Erect, alter, inspect and dismantle completed non-notifiable prefabricated frame scaffolding up to five (5) metres in height
- Undertaking and implementing a task analysis for the erection, use and dismantling of non-notifiable prefabricated frame scaffolding up to five metres in height
Pre-requisites
- Be 16 years of age or over.
- Applicants for whom English is a second language must meet IELTS (or equivalent) Level 5.5
Note: Those intending to enroll in this programme should note that work in the scaffolding industry often takes place at height, and therefore requires a relevant level of physical fitness and ability to work at heights

Course costs include all learning materials and completion certificate. Costs also include registration of unit standard credits with NZQA.
